It's difficult coming up with places to review in New York, because there are just so few.

OTD Reviews

There are tons of places to go booze it up: clubs, bars, bars disguised as apartments, parking lots lit up by neon clowns. Some are better than others. Some are worth visiting because they embody 'cool' and others because they noticeably lack any such coolness. Lacking a sense of cool is hip, right? Great, now I've confused myself.

While 'The Epic' is about OntheDrink's adventures (and some), there are often places deserving of special attention. Attention meaning reviews. And reviews meaning awesomely hilarious, insightful reviews. So, when you want to get an in depth look at a place mentioned in 'The Epic', or just get a recommendation of somewhere fun and/or unique to visit, check this section out.

OntheDrink cuts through the nightlife crap with hilariously accurate reviews of the Temples of Drunk worth visiting. Here you'll find information on venues that are so happening you can't possibly get in, so under the radar you probably can't find 'em, or (90% of the time) just a rad place to have fun and get absolutely Middle Earthed.

After all, the key to a great night is quite simple: just go to a place that rocks your socks off.1 Or just go somewhere that is great just because it sucks so much.2 This is more easily said than done, but our reviews will point you in the right direction. Whether looking for a place that is great-great, suck-great, or weird-great, OntheDrink's got you covered like a straightjacket.

1. Socks can be rocked off in a variety of ways. Sometimes a mellow lounge can rock ones socks off, albeit in a very subdued, classy fashion. Also, you are probably wearing dress socks.

2. This is known as the Dyson Phenomenon, named after James Dyson, inventor of the Dyson Vacuum, who is a god among men. He's all like "Vacuums are sub par. I think I'll go ahead and reinvent them." And then he did it! What a badass!!
